The Deluxe Double Room was spacious and the bed was super comfy. It had a big TV and kept nice and warm, which was great. The blackout curtains worked perfectly—no light seeping in. Surprisingly minimal noise from the main road too, which I wasn’t expecting. Slept really well!

Request a room with a walk-in shower if mobility is a concern, as some bathrooms may have challenging steps.

Spacious Deluxe Double Room with ample natural light and a comfortable layout. Located conveniently near the M6 for easy access, although some may appreciate that more than others.
Room had a musty smell, mattress springs were too pronounced for comfort, making sleep a bit of a chore. The TV didn’t function properly and the bathroom door looked like it had seen better days with chipped wood. The constant sound of traffic from the nearby road, especially with windows open, detracted from the overall experience. For £96 a night, some might find the overall condition a bit rough around the edges. perhaps a refresh would do wonders. Breakfast not available until 9am may not suit early risers.

Warm atmosphere and attentive staff
I had a lovely one-night stay in a spacious Deluxe Double Room. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, even calling to check on my dining preferences. The bed was very comfortable, making it a relaxing experience overall. I would have preferred a wider breakfast selection beyond just continental options.

Solo travelers looking for a warm welcome
They welcomed me like family , couldn’t believe how accommodating the staff were. They had this great heater ready for me the moment I asked, real attention to detail.
It wasn’t exactly cheap , but honestly, nothing felt overpriced for the experience I got.

had a great stay at the windmill inn! booked it for a wedding, and it actually exceeded my expectations. the staff were super friendly and welcoming, the rooms were spacious and comfy, and the breakfast was really good with a nice selection. loved the blackout curtains too, made it easy to sleep!
the only downsides were the parking situation which felt a bit strict and the main road noise was slight but not too bothersome. overall, we had a great time!
